All across Africa, High-Quality Cassava Flour (HQCF) is now being used as a viable replacement/substitute for corn starch, wheat flour etcetera most of which have to be imported. Following the research which showed the possibility of creating and utilizing a combination of wheat and cassava flour (that is composite flour) for use in bakeries and other confectioneries, the demand for HQCF has taken an upward spiral.

Nigeria’s current demand for HQCF is estimated at 750,000 metric tons per annum whilst production capacity is put at approximately 50,000 metric tons per annum.
